Centritech is proud to announce the release and deployment of its new MAX FAX solution for Asterisk-based VoIP environments.  The current version of this server includes FIFTY fax modems designed to be routed through an Asterisk-based IP-PBX on the same LAN.  While traditional fax appliance firms sell units with 2 PRIs for over $40,000, Centritech's fax server solution is under $6k!  Forget traditional licensing models and proprietary software!  Our VoIP fax server has NO licensing fees, no per port fees, no per user fees.  Even the print-to-fax and web-to-fax software packages are free!  All you need is a core Centritech MAX FAX Server and an existing Asterisk-based IP-PBX phone system.  Our units are available on a standalone basis as well--just connect POTS or PRI lines directly.

Among the many features, the Centritech MAX FAX Server includes inbound fax routing via DID or modem-based settings.  The web control interface includes a user administration system and access to both send and receive faxes via the web fax interface.  An address book and auto-addition of entries based on CallerID is also included.

And, as always, Centritrech will donate development funds to the various open source project developers who make these fax servers possible.

Proprietary vs. Open Source
We believe in using open source software for all our systems-- which means we can customize a system to do most anything!  Traditional, proprietary (brand name) systems have a specific feature set and cannot be reprogrammed to do anything truly custom.  If they don't have a feature, they say "sorry", when we don't have a feature, we say "we'll work on that for you!"

Asterisk, the core of every Centritech phone system, is the most widely supported open source software project in the world.  Because every business needs a phone system and because traditional phone software is so limited, there is an ever-growing community of developers and supportive companies who use and grow the Asterisk platform.  Centritech develops and contributes new features and support in a variety of public forums.  Traditional phone vendors can go bankrupt, but Open Source projects are forever (since they have a diverse ownership base).
